Avian Lewis Hogan Obituary (1954 - 2023)

"The Life of Mrs. Avian Lewis Hogan" (Our Beloved Mama) Mrs. Avian Hogan was born Sept. 6, 1954. She was the 7th child of 8 children who were all born to Mr. Ollie Lewis Sr. and Mrs. Ella Louise Glover. As far as known by her children she confessed faith in the Lord Jesus and became a Christian and saved at an early age. She attended various churches throughout her life and was a member at Live Oak Baptist Church which was pastored at that time by John H. Hunt who has long time passed on. In her early twenties she married Gentle Lee Hogan Jr. and later the whole family in the late 1990's joined Christian Hope Baptist Church whose Pastor was Samuel Davis who has also passed away. Mrs. Avian Hogan has worked for 20 years or more in the cafeteria at St. Lukes Hospital as a dietary aide. She later retired and soon after went back to work in the kitchen at various schools at the Houston Independent School District. Mrs. Hogan was blessed by God to live 68 years here on Earth and passed away on July 1, 223 due to various illnesses. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and has 2 surviving sisters, Ms. Willa Mac Glover and Mrs. Joann Williams. She has a surviving brother, Mr. Ollie Lewis, Jr. She also leaves behind 3 sons, Dexter Hogan, Gentle Lee Hogan III and Trory Hogan, and one beautiful daughter, Tavasha Chantal Hogan. Mrs. Hogan is also survived by four grandchildren, Donovan Andrew Hogan, Olivia Brianne Hogan, Pharoah Zysean Waddle, and Zy'reick Dajuan Waddle.
