Brittany Rene Kater Obituary (1988 - 2017)

Brittany Rene Kater passed away on February 11th, 2017 in Alvin, Texas. Brittany was born December 31st, 1988 in Grants Pass, Oregon. She was an awesome mother of 3 children. She is survived by her husband Eric Hankins; Children Cayden Orton, Ezekial Kater, Zachary Kater and Payton Hankins; Parents Michael Leroy Orton and Rene Mitchell-Sexton; Stepmother Becky Orton; Grandparents Ira and Gloria Morse and Sybil Orton; her siblings Brian Orton, Elijah Mitchell, Erin Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, Timmeri Orton, James Orton, Cory Orton and McKenzie Orton. Brittany is preceded in death by grandfather Leroy Orton. Brittany earned an Education Associate of Arts Degree at College of the Mainland in Medical Coding and Billing and she was a certified welder and was employed by Industrial Welder in the oilfields. Brittany professed a faith in Jesus Christ. She was extremely humorous and lived life wide open and was honest to a fault and very loving. She loved everything outdoors, fishing, skiing, snowboarding and welding. Services will be held Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway in Texas City, Texas 77591. Viewing starts at 11: 00 a.m. and service to follow 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Dirk Scott, minister of True North Church. Reception to follow at the American Best hotel in La Marque at 1:30pm. 5201 Gulf Freeway.
