Carlleen Stroud

Carlleen Yvonne Henry Stroud, 84, passed this life to glory on January 13, 2024, in Houston, Texas. Carlleen was the eldest of three children born to Charlene Thomas Washington and Robert L. Henry on September 8, 1939, in Houston, TX. A loving son, Mark Kevin Stroud, survives her. Carlleen is preceded in death by her parents: a sister, Shirley Ruth Henry Reed; a brother, Robert L. Henry, Jr.; a granddaughter, Yvonne Taylor; and a special friend, Frank Falke.

Carlleen graduated from Fidelity Manor High School. She was employed at Christian Faith Nursing Home for many years and later retired from the University of Houston Postal Center. Before her health failed, Carlleen was very present in the lives of her family and left behind many warm and loving memories. Carlleen’s memory will be cherished by a grandson, Mark Kevin Taylor (Monica), as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, a brother-in-law, and caring neighbors (Roz, Michael, and Clint).

A memorial service will be held at East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 3:00 pm, 5702 Calhoun Road, Houston, TX 77021. The body will be interred at a private graveside at a later date.
