Catherine Ann Green Obituary (1944 - 2023)

Catherine Green was born on March 7, 1944 in Bristol, Louisiana to the proud parents Murphy Green and Emma Domangeaux. She was the youngest of four children. Catherine attended school in Church Point, LA and experienced the power of prayer at an early age. She later moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where she obtained her GED. Catherine began her career at Jakes Produce, and later moved to Firestone Tire & Rubber, and finally she ended up in the Calcasieu Public Library System where she worked until her health declined. Catherine was an active member of several churches over her lifetime. She attended Riverside Baptist Church, where she helped with the children's choir ministry. She was also active at the Greater St. Mary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Talbert, where she continued to work with the children's choir. Also, she attended Glad Tidings, where she served as a greeter for a number of years, until her health forced her to retire. Catherine preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Emma; brothers, James Charlot and Corris Charlot; and her daughter Lillie Marie Green. She leaves behind to mourn her loss a sister, Virginia Mathis; sons Donald Green (Adele); Earl Miller Jr., Wilbert Weston Jr. (Summer);her grandchildren: Donald Jr., Donte , Marcus, Kiera ,Shawn, Justin, Jaxson, Tekisha , Mariah, Stefon, and Pierre and she also had a special bond with her niece Agnes Charlot-Ward, and all her other nieces and nephews.
