Cedric Wayne Cooper Obituary (1983 - 2023)

Cedric Wayne Cooper affectionately known as "Coop" to those who love him, was born on January 4, 1983, in Houston, TX to Deandrea Cooper. He sadly departed this life too soon on June 21, 2023. Cedric attended Nazarene Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. T. Washington. As a teen he later joined the New Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. M. Ford. Cedric attended Charlotte B. Allen Elementary School, M.C. Williams Middle and Booker T. Washington High School where he was a part of the President's Club and a star football player. He earned his high school diploma from Houston Can Academy in 2002. As a young man, he met and later married the love of his life Verniceya Warfield and relocated to Pearland, TX. He was employed at Poly-One for 16yrs had a trucking company CWC Transport and most recently graduated with his certification in Insurance Adjusting. Cedrick had many talents and hobbies. He was a professional poker player, helped his softball team Lost Koz win several championships, and was the Pittsburgh Steelers number one fan. He mastered anything he put his mind to because he did not like to lose. But most of all, Cedrick was a devoted husband and father who loved his family. Cedrick touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered for his big smile and even bigger heart. Cedrick was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Simeon, his grandmothers Mattie Cooper and Fannie B. Simeon-Davis, and his grandfather, Jesse Cooper. Cedrick leaves to cherish his memories, his wife and best friend, Verniceya Cooper, children Ceniceya and Bryan. Mother Deandrea Cooper(Trish), sister, Deandra Cooper (Pooh), two brothers Simeon Cooper(Phyllis (Duke) and Scotty Cooper, God-mother, Betty Allen, God-sisters Shatara and Nikki Allen, Father and Mother In Law. Uncles, aunts, niece, nephews, and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
