Cedric Wayne Cooper affectionately known as "Coop" to those who love him, was born on\nJanuary 4, 1983, in Houston, TX to Deandrea Cooper. He sadly departed this life too soon on\nJune 21, 2023.\n\nCedric attended Nazarene Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. T.\nWashington. As a teen he later joined the New Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church under\nthe leadership of Rev. M. Ford.\n\nCedric attended Charlotte B. Allen Elementary School, M.C. Williams Middle and Booker T.\nWashington High School where he was a part of the President's Club and a star football player.\nHe earned his high school diploma from Houston Can Academy in 2002.\n\nAs a young man, he met and later married the love of his life Verniceya Warfield and relocated\nto Pearland, TX. He was employed at Poly-One for 16yrs had a trucking company CWC\nTransport and most recently graduated with his certification in Insurance Adjusting.\n\nCedrick had many talents and hobbies. He was a professional poker player, helped his softball\nteam Lost Koz win several championships, and was the Pittsburgh Steelers number one fan. He\nmastered anything he put his mind to because he did not like to lose. But most of all, Cedrick\nwas a devoted husband and father who loved his family. Cedrick touched the lives of so many\nand will always be remembered for his big smile and even bigger heart.\n\nCedrick was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Simeon, his grandmothers Mattie Cooper\nand Fannie B. Simeon-Davis, and his grandfather, Jesse Cooper.\n\nCedrick leaves to cherish his memories, his wife and best friend, Verniceya Cooper, children\nCeniceya and Bryan. Mother Deandrea Cooper(Trish), sister, Deandra Cooper (Pooh), two\nbrothers Simeon Cooper(Phyllis (Duke) and Scotty Cooper, God-mother, Betty Allen, God-sisters\nShatara and Nikki Allen, Father and Mother In Law. Uncles, aunts, niece, nephews, and a host of\ncousins, other family and friends.
