Charles Heath Rudolph, Sr. Obituary (1948 - 2017)

Chuck Rudolph, 68, was born in Fresno, California. He passed away after a long illness at his home in Splendora, Texas on Saturday, January 21, 2017. He was a graduate of South Houston Sr. High School Class of 67'. Thereafter he entered the Houston Police Academy in August 1967 and graduated Class #36 in December 1967. He worked in Southeast Radio Patrol and then advanced to the rank of Sargent where he worked in Burglary, Theft and the Career Offender Divisions. In 1989, he was awarded Police Officer of the Year from the 100 Club of Houston. He was always proud and loved being a member of the Thin Blue Line. From 2002-2005 he worked as a TSA screener for Homeland Security at Bush Intercontinental Airport. In his lifetime, he coached Youth Little League, Youth Bowling, 4H, FFA, Church Youth and other activities his wife always volunteered him for and he enjoyed his Bowling League friends even when he didn't bowl well. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as much as he could get away with. Most of all he loved God, his family and all of his very special friends. He was always laughing and loved to pull pranks on those good friends. He was preceded in death by father, Clarence Rudolph and mother Emma Janice Rudolph.He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marsha Rudolph; Son Charles Rudolph, Jr. and fiancee Amanda McGregor and Son Beau Rudolph; daughter Tammie Elmore; sister Margaret Herrmann and brother in law Perry Herrmann from Pinnacle, N.C.; Grandchildren Megan and Neil Sammons, Kenneth Haith, Ashley Rudolph, Amber Elmore and Dillan Comparetto, Courtney Rudolph, Haley Elmore, Justin Rudolph, Erika Elmore, Brian and Amber Whiddon, Michael Burke and Tony Marinelli; Great Grandchildren Rylie Comparetto, Kaylynne Sammons, Lane and Ryland Whiddon; 13 Nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews and many friends. A Funeral Service is scheduled for January 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church on 20,000 Loop 494 in New Caney, Texas with Father Lin Nyugen officiating.
