Chris Delesandri Jr.

Texas City, Texas

Jay (Chris) Delesandri Jr., 62, went home to his heavenly Father Sept. 23, 2026 after fighting a valiant battle with cancer.

Jay was born May 11, 1964, to Chris and Judi (Burns) Delesandri in Texas City. He met the love of his life and best friend, Tracy Holt, in 1984 at Sam Houston State University and they were married 34 years when he passed.

He courageously battled cancer with dignity and grace until he left his earthly body peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones at his home.

To honor Jay's memory and all that he did in this life, a celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Oct. 10, at First Baptist Church in Angleton, 972 Anchor Rd, 77515. Visitation will be at 1p.m. with the service at 2p.m.

Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Judi Burns; sister-in-law- Teri ("Sister Bug"); brother-in-law Wayne Medford; grandparents Pete and Bernice Delesandri; and John and Maxine Burnett.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Tracy; his Father Chris Sr.; his mother-in-law Gayle Holt Parsons; brother Mike Delesandri and wife Jessica; sister Dana Medford; brother-in-law Jeff Holt and wife, Sherri; brother-in-law Dick Johannsen and wife, Cindy; along with special friends Mark ("Knife") and Terri ("Kiefer") Stephens.

Holding Jay in their hearts and memories are his nieces, Dallas (and Christian) Valdez, Darian Johannsen, Kasey Frank (and Corey); nephews, Dustin Johannsen (and Savannah), and Kyle Holt (and Taryn), Landon Watkins, along with his godchildren, Dillon Stephens, Allison Stephens Upton (and Austin). Jay is also survived by his "Great Ones": great-nieces and nephews Levi and Logan Holt; Collin, Korbin, and Cameron Frank; and Emery Johannsen.
