Christopher Wayne Dawsey Sr. Obituary (1964 - 2019)

Christopher Wayne Dawsey Sr. was born July 7, 1964 in Texas City, Texas to Emma Lou Charles & Leonard Elmo Dawsey Sr. Christopher is preceded in death by his mother Emma Lou Dawsey, his brother Leonard Dawsey Jr., and his sister Vickie Dawsey Arthurs. He leaves to cherish his memory two children, a daughter Kristina Raeontra Hopper, a son Christopher Wayne Dawsey Jr., and two grandchildren Nevaeh Shyann Dawsey, Calen Jace Dawsey, a sister Yvette Dixie Cranson and a host of nieces and nephews. Christian Experience- He was raised in La Marque Chapel Church of God in Christ. During his marriage he moved his service to New Hope Bible Church in La Marque, TX. While there he served as a cook and was an active member of the male chorus. His professional life: Christopher graduated from La Marque High School Class of 1982. He joined the United States Navy in 1981. While in the Navy he served as a chef and was honorably discharged in 1983. Christopher owned and operated his own landscaping business and worked in the family business Cooper's Bar-B-Que in La Marque TX. There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10am with a chapel service to begin promptly at 11am. Services are being held at Carnes Funeral Home located at 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591. Burial to follow at Forest Park East.
