Clarence Thomas Caldwell, Sr. Obituary (1940 - 2023)

Clarence Thomas Caldwell, Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He was born on April 25, 1940 in Galveston, Texas to Van Zan Caldwell and Ellen Harris Caldwell. He was the youngest of five children. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Herbert, Leroy, and Robert Caldwell. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jewell; sister, Vander Haynes; children, Cecilia Radecki, Clarence T. Caldwell, Jr., Carole Caldwell, and Cheryl Caldwell; grandchildren, Nydia Caldwell Oyeteju (Michael), Ashtyne Alford, Caitlin Caldwell Gates (Jasper), and Mikala Radecki; stepchildren, Lynnita Hailey and Camille Howard; step-grandchildren, Cierra Hailey, Garrett Jones, Alivia Howard, and Austin Howard. There will be a Celebration of Life service for C.T. (Pooky) on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591. The viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
