Demetria LaShon King Obituary (1975

Demetria LaShonda King graced the world with her presence on October 25, 1975. She was the only child of the late Vera Frances King. Demetria attended Galveston Public Schools where she met lifelong friends that became family along the way. Dee Dee as most will call her, furthered her education, and obtained her license as a pharmacy technician soon after she joined the UTMB where she worked for many years, meeting and gaining lifelong friendships along the way. Demetria pharmacy tech journey continued as she became part of the On Time pharmacy team until her untimely departure from her earthly home. Dee was filled with a loving and caring heart, but stubborn as a bull. Always willing to give a helping hand but was not a stranger to putting you back in your place with a caring undertone if needed. If you knew Demetria, you knew the love she had for her grandchildren, children, the color yellow, dolphins, and "HER MAN" LIL WAYNE filled her heart with overwhelming joy and contentment. Demetria was known to her grandchildren as NaNa. She was also known for her lavish taste regarding her hair, bling nails, and exquisite perfumes and luxury purses. Demetria was known to many for her infectious smile and laughter, which lit up any room. There was never a dual moment in her presence. Always available and willing to give knowledgeable advice, a listening ear, girl talk with cocktails. Demetria has left a lifelong marking on the hearts of plenty. She will be greatly missed. Demetria was proceeded in death by her Mother Vera Frances King, Grandfather Freddie King Jr, Uncles Terry and Jerry King, Aunts Deborah Perez and Patricia Simpson, and lifelong friend Tanz Day. She leaves to cherish her memories: Son: Rayshad Daniels, Daughters: Nareisha King, J'Quesha King Gonzales Galaviz (Lupe), Kaori Davis Grandmother: Lillian Clark, Aunt: Tonya King Lipscomb (Harold), Four Grandchildren: Kentrell Rucker, Evan Daniel, Aria Galviz, and A'Mynee Robinson, Bonus Mother's: Elida Greene and Doris Edwards, Sisters: Sherita Williams (James), Sharon Mason, and Jamie Allen (Valry), Brother: Jabrawn Johnson, Devoted Friends: Ebony Webb and Doris Hayes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
