Denise Martin

A Life Remembered

Denise Renee Martin Singleton, born April 30, 1960, passed away on October 8, 2026. She attended schools in Galveston and devoted her working life to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant.

Denise will be remembered as bright, fun-loving, caring, and wonderfully comical. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and brought laughter and warmth to the lives of those around her.

Denise leaves to cherish her memory her children, Deshundra Singleton, Albert Singleton, Durrell Singleton, and Wade Hughes (Maranda); 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kenneth Jones Sr. (Cassandra) and Paula Martin Lynch; her special friend, Anthony Phillips; and a host of aunts, one uncle, nieces, nephews, and beloved members of her blended family.

She was preceded in death by her children, Deandra Singleton and Tamara Singleton; her parents, Annie Martin Rideaux and Raymond Martin; her grandparents, Adras and Pauline Wilturner Sr.; and her siblings, Tammy Martin, Angela Martin, Raymond Martin, and Cleveland Martin.

Her loving spirit, joyful sense of humor, and dedication to caring for others will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
