Earl Beves Branch Sr. Obituary (1932 - 2020)

Earl B. Branch was born on August 3rd, 1932 in Apalachicola, Florida to parents John and Nora Branch. He went to be with his Heavenly Father January 24, 2020. Earl was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters and is survived by one living brother. Earl is also survived by his devoted wife of 68 years; Shirley, as well as four beloved children, Earl Jr. and his wife Carolyn, Carolyn and her husband John, Bryan, and Brenna and her husband Shannon. He had eleven grandchildren, Bridgette, Earl III "Trey", Meisha, Michael "Caston", Calvin, Natalie, Bryanna, Madeline, Abigail, Paula and Nathaniel, twelve great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Earl was a devoted husband to his wife and lovingly referred to her as his "Texas Tornado." He unconditionally loved and enjoyed his children and grandchildren. His early years were filled with love and laughter with his family in Florida, and he had a contagious laugh that everyone enjoyed. Earl had an unparalleled work ethic and was an entrepreneur of several successful businesses over his life. Earl accepted the Lord as a young man and lived a Christian life showing love, compassion, and generosity to his family and friends. He was one of the founders of the first Pentecostal Holiness Church in Galveston. He was a leader in the shrimping community, and his customers loved and trusted him for 61 years. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 28th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Carnes Funeral home in Texas City. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow on January 29th, 2020 beginning at 11:00am at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock. Serving as pallbearers will be Earl "Trey" Branch III, Michael "Caston" Ferrino, Calvin Bennett, Nathaniel Branch, Justin Mata and Hunter Branch.
