Efrain Reyes Perez

Efrain Reyes Perez, age 70, of Dickinson, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Efrain was born in Hualahuises, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and raised in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He shared 49 years of marriage with Oralia Huerta Reyes and together, they raised five children.
Prior to retirement, Efrain was a primarily a construction worker during his lifetime. If you asked him though, he would say he was a truck driver, a boxer and a baseball player. Essentially, he was a jack of all trades. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees, though the Houston Astros were also important to him. Efrain was a very social and friendly person. He enjoyed making people laugh, entertaining them with stories of all sorts. Lending a helping hand and sharing with those in need was part of who he was and how he will be remembered. Once he became a grandfather, his grandchildren became the joy of his life.
Efrain is predeceased by his wife and the love of his life, Oralia Huerta Reyes as well as his parents, Efrain Reyes and Beatriz Perez, and one sister, Bertha Lidia Ceballos. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michelle Jeffries Perez (Lorenzo Perez), Juan Reyes (Martha Reyes), Maria Magdalena Reyes, Armando Reyes (Dionicia Pena) and Christina Trevino (Oscar Trevino); Grandchildren, Diana Isabel Reyes (Kay Silva), Cristian Isaiah Reyes (Alondra Reyes), Oscar Trevino, Jr. (Sumher Vela), Crystal Reyes, Kristianna Hope Reyes (Camron Thomas), Kassandra Irene Buendia (Ricardo Buendia), Michael Efrain Montes, Julio Jesus Pena, Natalie Nicole Pena, Beatrice Trevino, Abril Reyes and Armando Reyes, Jr.; Great-grandchildren, Macey Adriana Perez, Cristian Alexander Reyes, Isaiah Reyes, Grace Aralia Perez, Elijah Nicolas Reyes and Aubree Isabel Buendia; Siblings, Jesus Reyes, Maria Reyes Polanco, Gloria Reyes Guajardo, Guadalupe Reyes Jaramillo and Lucila Reyes de la Cruz.
Efrain's Viewing and Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5-6:30PM in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591 , with his Memorial Service beginning at 6:30. His Funeral Service will begin at 9:30AM on Friday, October 2, 2020 at the same location. Efrain will then be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at 11:00AM at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

Antes de jubilarse, Efrain fue principalmente un trabajador de la construccion durante su vida. Sin embargo, si le preguntaras, te diria que es camionero, boxeador y jugador de beisbol. Esencialmente, era un experto en todos los oficios. Su equipo de beisbol favorito eran los Yankees de Nueva York, aunque los Astros de Houston tambien eran importantes para el. Efrain era una persona muy sociable y amigable. Disfrutaba haciendo reir a la gente, entreteniendoles con historias de todo tipo. Dar una mano y compartir con los necesitados fue parte de quien era y como sera recordado. Una vez que se convirtio en abuelo, sus nietos se convirtieron en la alegria de su vida.
Efrain fue adelantado en muerte por su esposa y el amor de su vida, Oralia Huerta Reyes y tambien por sus padres, Efrain Reyes y Beatriz Perez, y una hermana, Bertha Lidia Ceballos. La Velacion y Visitacion de Efrain se llevara a cabo el jueves 1 de octubre de 2020 de 5 a 6:30 p.m. en la Capilla Funeraria de Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77591, con su Servicio Memorial a partir de las 6:30. Su Funeral se llevara a cabo a partir de a las 9:30 a. m. el viernes 2 de octubre de 2020 en el mismo lugar. Efrain sera enterrado junto a su querida esposa a las 11:00 a.m. en el Cementerio Catolico Mount Olivet en Dickinson
