Estanislao P. Gonzales Obituary (1943 - 2023)

Estanislao P. (Larry) Gonzales was born in Goliad, TX on July 3, 1943. He passed away at the age of 80 on October 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving stepdaughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Larry served in the US Army for several years and was honorably discharged in 1969. After living in Virginia for some years he and the love of his love, Dora, relocated to Texas City, TX in 1979. He was an avid fisherman and was known around the Texas City Dike as the Flounder Man. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He also loved riding around with his furry best friend, Mijo. Larry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dora R. Gonzales; his father Estanislao P. Gonzales, Sr.; his mother Josefa Pedraza Gonzales; and his brother Pedro Gonzales. He is survived by his sons Jesus Gonzales and Vincent Gonzales; stepdaughters Sylvia Almendarez of Texas City, TX and Linda Fernandez (Raynaldo) of Victoria, TX; Grandchildren, Veronica Carreon of Texas City, TX; Tari Myers (Duane) of Seabrook, TX; Paul Delgado (Tracy) of Cuero, TX; Brenda Pena (Joe) of Port Lavaca, TX; Joe Camacho (Delfina) of Texas City, TX; Amanda Deering (Gary) of Texas City, TX; Sarah Delgado of Port Lavaca, TX; Raynaldo Fernandez, Jr. (Jessica) of Victoria, TX and Tony Fernandez of Austin, TX. Larry also has 20 great-grandchildren, Marcus Delgado (Christina); Drew Carreon (Katy); Anyssa Carreon; Keely Deering; Matthew Deering (Macy); Charlie and Jolee Rosa; Austin Pacheco; Isaac, Leonel, Avery and Doralin Pena; Alec Jennings; Emily Kaiser (Chance); William Myers; Shane and Shawn Delgado; Lucious Acosta; Phoenix and Luna Fernandez; and 6 great-great grandchildren, Braelyn and Alayna Delgado; Ava and Kase Carreon; Carson Ortiz and Owen Kaiser; and numerous nephews and nieces.
