"Shorty" Obituary (1931 - 2022)

Ezube "Shorty" Kershaw, 91, of Santa Fe, Texas, went to be with our Lord on November 1st, 2022, surrounded by his wife, family and friends. Ezube is predeceased by parents, Ezube Sr. and Cecile Gaspard Kershaw; brothers and sisters, Agnes Miller, Wilford Nelson Kershaw, Joseph Kershaw Sr., Enas Paul Kershaw, Orelia "Tiny" Guidry, Juanita Rodeaway, and William "Little Bill" Kershaw. "Shorty" leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Carol Kershaw; children, Robert Kershaw and wife Marsha, Rick Kershaw and wife Debbie, Sandy Kershaw-Denby, Ricky Morrison, Viki Rojas and husband Daniel, and Ronnie Morrison; grandchildren, Austin Kershaw and wife Kristi, Beth Ann Cammarn and husband Kelby, Richard Kershaw and wife Melinda, Jonathan Denby and wife Mary, Diana Kovacevich and husband John, Brittany, Megan Olive and Rick Embry Morrison, Jessica Tavarez, Trey Nigrelle and wife Annaya, Kenneth "Tyler" Nigrelle, Noah Morrison; and many great-grandchildren. Born on a houseboat near Lake Arthur, Louisiana where he learned and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. With just an elementary education, Shorty made his way to Winnie, Texas. After a short stay, He settled in Galveston. There he learned metal fabrication and influenced projects that are still standing today. When he wasn't working, Shorty enjoyed his family, dancing and his cattle, he was always proud of his Cajun roots.
