Fairy Ladd

Fairy Louise Ladd, a longtime resident of La Marque, Texas, passed away September 3, 2026, in League City, Texas, surrounded by loved ones on her 74th birthday. She was born September 3, 1952, in Galveston, Texas, to Walter and Edith Warren. Fairy graduated from Ball High School. She married Michael Ladd, the love of her life, in 1971, and they were married until his passing in 2013. She was a homemaker, dedicated to raising her children.

Fairy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She never met a stranger. She loved to cook, loved the Astros, never turned down a game of dominoes or cards with family, loved to go fishing, and always had a fresh pitcher of sweet tea going.

Her grandbabies, Eli, Aria, and Tay, were the joy of her life. To them she was Mimi, a name her beloved great-nephew Caden Digby gave her and one she wore proudly.

Fairy is survived by her son, Paul Ladd (Kalie); her daughter, Kellie Stanford (Dustin); her sisters, Nancy Kelemen (Darrell), and Laura Johnson; her sister-in-law, Barbara Ladd; her brother-in-law, Jesse Ladd (Lloydell); her grandchildren, Eli, Aria, and Tay; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Fairy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ladd; her father, Walter Warren; her mother, Edith Warren; her sister, Frances Warren; her brother, Butch Warren; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Ladd.

Special thanks to LT, Stephanie, Marina, Stacie, and the many amazing Luminations staff members at Grand Living at Tuscan Lakes, as well as Joan Dallas of Three Oaks Hospice.

Thursday September 17th, the family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a rosary from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City. A private interment will be held at a later date.
