Felix G. Aguirre Jr. Obituary (1942 - 2020)

On Monday, January 6, 2020, Felix G. Aguirre Jr., loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 77 in his home in Houston, Texas. Felix was a genuine lover of life who knew no strangers. His engaging manner, big heart, and warm smile made anyone he came across feel special. When you were with Felix, you were in great hands. A legend in the hotel and restaurant industry, Felix was a mentor to many, and took pride in elevating the careers of those who looked up to him. Caring and loyal, with an affinity for being a sharp dresser (shiniest shoes in town!), Felix was the most loved member of his family. He was always happiest when listening to his favorite music and dancing in the kitchen with his "Sweetie"; the one thing dementia could not take away from him. Felix is preceded in death by father, Felix M. Aguirre Sr., mother, Santos G. Ruiz, and granddaughter, Gabrielle Nicole Aguirre. He is survived by his loving wife, Susana Aguirre; children, Miriam Woodson, Felix G. Aguirre III (Lindsey), Adriana Mangum (Kevin), and Eddie Aguirre (Tyler); sisters, Linda Herrera, Alicia Ranzau (Ed), Dolores Rodriguez, and Barbara Tejero; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 25, 2020 in Houston, Texas.
