Irene Olivia Reyes

Irene Olivia Reyes, 51, passed away on August 26, 2026, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Galveston, Texas, She was the beloved daughter of Gilbert Silva Reyes, and Frances De La Garza. She is preceded in death by Juan De La Garza. She leaves behind her sister, Misty Reyes and her brother, Rene Flores.

Irene was a faithful servant of the Lord. She enjoyed spending quality time with loved ones, eating BBQ, and going to church. She will be forever remembered for her contagious laughter, loving personality, constant dancing, beautiful smile, and her everlasting strength.

She is survived by her devoted children Marissa Oquendo, Sammy Gonzales Jr, Melanie Fuentes, Mea Gonzales, Jada Gonzales, and Jasmine Gonzales. She also leaves behind her beautiful grandchildren Xavier Ceja, Juan Ceja Jr, Olivia Ceja, and Camilla Gonzales.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Fwy Texas City, Tx 77591.The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM and continue until the time of the service.
