Irma Guadalupe Martinez-Saulsberry, 86, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024 in Kingwood, Texas. She was a beloved wife to the late Franklin D Saulsberry Sr. who passed away March of 2009. They shared 40 years of marriage, but they would have been married for 54yrs.\n \nShe was born in (Chihuahua, Mexico), she was the daughter of (Rodolfo y Maria Martinez). She graduated from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Master degree in Psychology). She was an active Diver and was on the synchronize swim team to go to the Olympic for her university. She was a school teacher in Mexico. She then traveled to Houston, Tx with her parents and began working at Berlitz Language Center and St Pius High school. She worked as Spanish Teacher for over 40 plus years here in the United States.\n \nShe was a devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic church/ also a Catholic daughter of America. She was part of the Alter Guild in the Church long with being a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed serving the church, and being active in the lives of her Children, Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren. She will be remembered for her dictation to her family and friends she supported through the years with the church and schools. Her personality was one of a kind she had a warm heart and a beautiful smile that would make you fall in love with her. \n \nShe is predeceased by her husband, Franklin D Saulsberry Sr; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Rodolfo Marteniz and siblings, Victoria Benitez and Enrique Martinez.\n\nShe is survived by her son, Franklin D Saulsberry Jr. and wife Bessie Saulsberry. Her grandchildren are James A Lopez-Saulsberry, \nCandice L Saulsberry and partner Sam Webb, Megan V Saulsberry,\n Franklin D Saulsberry III and Annaliese M Saulsberry.\n Her daughter Nataha L Saulsberry-Marsh & partner Tim Shull, \ngrandchildren Justin N Marsh and Victoria N Marsh. \nHer great grandchildren Scarlett S Webb and Violet J Webb. \nAlso, here four siblings in Mexico Ivonne Martinez, Esthela Martinez, \nAlberto Martinez and Armida Martinez. An by many nieces and nephews. \n\nA Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Irma's life will be held on \nFebruary 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. At St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church\n3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX 77018. The visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a rosary at 10:30am to 11a.m. \nwith the Mass to commence at 11a.m.
