Janie F. Esparza passed away peacefully on August 28,2022 in Texas City, Texas. She was born in Galveston, Texas on December 17,1939 to parents, Guadalupe Ibarra and Jesse Flores Sr. \r\n She was a long-time resident of Galveston, Texas. She worked at Star Drug Store and Wyatt's for many years. Janie loved to play Bingo, cook for family, play volleyball, dancing and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Janie loved to watch her Golden Girls at night. \r\n She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Julio A. Esparza Sr; parents, Jesse Flores Sr. and Guadalupe Ibarra; Mary Peralez; sisters, Virginia, Dolores Esqueda, Juanita Peralez, and son-in-law, Jimmy Limones Sr.\r\n Janie is survived by children, Lupe and Gus Garza, Jesse and Bea Salinas, Mario E. and Anna Salinas, Albert and Audrey Salinas, Julio A. Esparza Jr., Monica E. and Sal Rivera Sr., and Ronnie Esparza; nineteen grandkids, twenty-six great-grandkids; two great-great-grandkids; brothers, Jose Trevino and wife Martha, Jesse Flores Jr; sister, Frances De La Garza and husband Juan, and numerous nieces and nephews. \r\n Acting as Pallbearers are Jimmy Limones Jr., Joseph Limones Sr., Mark A. Esparza, Albert Salinas Jr., Mario Salinas Jr., Eric Salinas, Jesse Salinas Jr., Gilbert Carrasco Jr., Ronnie Esparza Jr., and JohnnyRay Rivera. \r\n Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Limones III, Frank and Gabriel Elizondo, Darion Solis and Jordan Salinas.
