Jerry David Tunis Obituary (1965 - 2021)

Jerry David Tunis, 55, of Texas City, Texas passed from his earthly life June 4, 2021. He was the husband of Naomi Tunis. They shared thirty-five years of marriage together. Jerry was born in Galveston, Texas on December 13, 1965. His Grandparents, Issac and Mollie Tunis adopted and raised him. Jerry was employed by Southwest Designs / Strategy as a pipe designer. He loved his work and had twenty-five years of experience. Jerry was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles / 2753 out of La Porte for ten years. He enjoyed being a member and was also past president. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle, his beloved pets, and his Houston hometown sports teams. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Issac and Mollie Tunis; mother, Mary Tunis; mother and father-in-law, Alice and Edgar Sessions; son-in-law, Phil Lowry; nephew, Kevin Hobbs, and son, Ray Snarr. He is survived by his wife, Naomi; sister and brother-in-law, CJ and Jerry; children, Renee Lowry (Johnny Parker), Robert and Amy Snarr, eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, June 14, 2021 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. with 6:00 p.m. Memorial Services to follow at Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City. You may wear Harley Davidson, Houston Texans, Rockets or Astros attire.
