Our beloved Jesus Hi Sr., 61 years old, went to be with the lord on 2/19/2021 at UTMB Galveston. He was a devoted husband of Maria Hi; together happily for 36 years. Born in Mante Tamaulipas, he was a son of Jose Hi Sosa and Graciela Gonzalez Diaz. He was employed at McRee Ford as an auto painter in Dickinson, TX. He will be remembered most for being a loving husband, and a caring father. He had an incredibly generous heart, his zest for life, his ambition, and his dad jokes are just a few of the things we will miss the most. Chuy was a great teacher of his craft; seen as a perfectionist by most; respected in his trade and always took the time to teach it. When you went to him with a problem, you left as a better person. He was humble, he was loyal; he was more than a friend he was a brother. He was a role model in that he taught us how to live; and that each day should be lived happily and to the fullest. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Maria Hi, his children Mayra Hi, Jesus Hi Jr., Tadashi Hi. His brothers: Jose Felix Hi and his late wife Maria Rodriguez, Juan Hi and his wife Angie Hi, Raul Hi, Jorge Vargas, Joel Vargas. His sisters: Teresa Hi, Genoveva Mendoza husband Carlos Mendoza, Graciela Sargent and husband Luther Sargent, Mirtha Gonzalez and husband Lauro Gonzalez, Marisa Gonzalez and husband Jose Juan Gonzalez Sr., Veronica Vargas, Mabel Guzman and husband Herman Guzman and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and Visitation will take place from 4-6pm on Tuesday, February 23rd at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591. Fue un devoto esposo de Maria Hi; juntos felizmente durante 36 anos. Nacido en Mante Tamaulipas, era hijo de Jose Hi Sosa y Graciela Gonzalez Diaz. Trabajo en McRee Ford como pintor de automoviles en Dickinson, TX. Sera recordado mas por ser un esposo amoroso y un padre carinoso. Tenia un corazon increiblemente generoso, su entusiasmo por la vida, su ambicion y los chistes de padre que decia son solo algunas de las cosas que mas extranaremos. Chuy fue un gran maestro de su oficio; visto como un perfeccionista por la mayoria; respetado en su oficio y siempre se tomaba el tiempo de ensenarlo. Cuando acudiste a el con un problema, te fuiste como una mejor persona. Era humilde, era leal; era mas que un amigo era un hermano. Fue un modelo a seguir en el sentido de que nos enseno a vivir; y que cada dia debe vivirse feliz y plenamente. Le sobreviven su amada esposa durante 36 anos Maria Hi, sus hijos Mayra Hi, Jesus Hi, Jr., y Tadashi Hi. Sus hermanos: Jose Felix Hi y su esposa finada, Maria Rodriguez, Juan Hi y su esposa Angie Hi, Raul Hi, Jorge Vargas, Joel Vargas. Sus hermanas: Teresa Hi, esposo de Genoveva Mendoza Carlos Mendoza, Graciela Sargent y esposo Luther Sargent, Mirtha Gonzalez y esposo Lauro Gonzalez, Marisa Gonzalez y esposo Jose Juan Gonzalez Sr., Veronica Vargas, Mabel Guzman y esposo Herman Guzman y numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos. La Visitacion y velorio se llevaran a cabo de 4 a 6 pm el martes 23 de febrero en Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Fwy., Texas City, TX 77591. El Servicio Memorial se llevara a cabo a partir de las 6 pm.
