We gather today to tip our hats to our beloved Jorge "Jorgy" Yeraldo Rubio, a man whose laughter was as infectious as his ceviche was delicious. Born in the heart of Los Angeles on the sunny day of April 28, 1988, Jorge spent his early years perfecting the art of being a good brother, an empathetic son, and the most ardent Kobe Bryant and Kanye West fan that ever existed. With a heart as wide as Texas, the state he proudly called his home, Jorge was the embodiment of love, lighting up every room with his funny antics and smart remarks.
In his professional life, Jorge was the maestro of sales in the furniture business. He could sell a recliner to a standing desk enthusiast, and convince a minimalist to buy a baroque-style armoire, such was his charm and talent. But it was outside the office where Jorge truly shone. He was the Messi of backyard soccer, the Scorsese of movie nights, the Sinatra of karaoke sessions, and the Phil Ivey of poker games. But most importantly, he was Jorgy, the loving uncle who would always sneak his nieces and nephews an extra cookie, and the friend you could rely on to turn your frown upside down.
As we remember Jorge, we find solace in the words of the Bible, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted" (Matthew 5:4). Jorge is survived by his parents, Jorge and Maribel Rubio, and his siblings Diana Macias, Jason Rubio, Bryan Rubio, and Jenny Goodman. While we mourn his physical absence, we cherish the laughter, love, and light he brought into our lives.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Jorge Rubio at the Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, Texas 77590, on Monday, 14th Sep 2026 at 5:00pm, and Tuesday, 15th Sep 2026 at 9:00am.
