Joshua Gonzales

–

Texas City, Texas

Joshua "Gordo Sexy" Gonzales, a loving, creative, funny and smart soul, left us with a library of laughter and love on January 13, 2025. Born on December 6, 2007, in Texas City, TX, USA, Joshua had a knack for spinning records and spinning hearts. His infectious smile and beautiful laugh were only surpassed by the joy he took in showing off his magnificent belly, a sight that would bring smiles to even the most hardened faces. His name wasn’t just Joshua, it was Joshua the Groovy, the Jocular, the Joyful; a DJ extraordinaire by night and an all-star baseball player by day. As Charlie Chaplin once said, "A day without
laughter is a day wasted," and Joshua made sure no day was wasted.

Joshua was always surrounded by a symphony of laughter and love. He was the co-owner of Scratcherstyle with his dad and spent a year of his young life spreading his passion for music and entertainment. His hobbies, apart from shaking up the dance floor, included cooking and spending time with his family and friends. His best friend was Jacob Gonzales and together they were a duet of mischief and mirth. Joshua played baseball and football with gusto. His achievements were numerous but his all-star baseball games were the highlight of his year, every year.

Joshua was the beloved son of Julian Gonzales and Carmica Johnson, step son of Brandon Johnson, the grandson of Theresa Sauceda, Raul Sauceda, and Patricia Zargar. He was the cherished brother of Jacob Gonzales, Makayla Hernandez, Julian Fuentes, Cailee and Joshua Johnson, and Jordan, Nick, Kelsey, and Lilly. He is also survived by his loving aunts Lydia, Monica, Vicki Guerrero-Dobson, and Crystal Figueroa. Uncles Tony ,Christin, Jarett, Richard, and Anthony. Cousins Christa, Cali, Cassidy, Theresa, Alexis, Jarett, Ricardo, Ashton, Preston and Ryann . He was the beloved uncle of Douglas IV, Madi, and Remi. Joshua was loved by many.

Joshua now joins in celestial harmony his father, Julian Gonzales, Chocolate Grandpa Julian and his uncles, Shawn Roper, John Daily, and Jesse Bertrand.

Joshua's life was a symphony of laughter, love, and music. He was a beacon of joy, his presence a gift, and his memory a treasure. May his spirit continue to inspire us, his music continue to uplift us, and his laughter continue to heal us.
