Kenneth "Mike" Stone

–

Texas City, TX

On Monday, January 17, 2022, the Stone family lost their hero, their rock and the glue that held them together. That is the day that Kenneth "Mike or Michael" Stone was welcomed home into the arms of his Lord and Savior.

Mike was born in Casper, WY on January 9, 1982. As a toddler, he moved to Deer Park, TX where he grew up and graduated from Deer Park High School as the class of 2000. Growing up he enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with his Mamaw and Papaw. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Marines and later, the US Army before he was discharged in 2006. When he married his wife, Brandi, he became a resident of Texas City where he lived at the time of his passing. He then went to Lee College for drafting and later RC Health where he followed his dream to become an EMT. As a medic, he served in many areas such as private ambulance services, NHRA, Motocross, ESD 3 in Manville, the city of Silsbee, TDCJ, and also served as a safety/medical committee member for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He was a union member of Millwright Local 2232, and a senior service technician for Evans Equipment and Environmental. He loved riding his motorcycle and served as vice president for the Freedom Cruisers Riding Club Chapter 138. He was a true patriot and family man that only came second to his church and love of Jesus Christ.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jehova Stone, grandparents Gene and Wanda Lilley and Gene Stone; great grandparents Mary and Ulyess McGhee and Alva Lilley; his Aunt Debbie Lilley and Mother-in-Law, Sharon Bradford.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Brandi Stone, daughters Quinna, Kloe, Bella, and Julie Stone, and grandson, Tatum Hardung; mother Patricia Walker; sister Kayla Rymer; niece and nephew Shelby and Logan Rymer; cousins Brian (Hailey) and Todd Lilley, best friends Jennifer Lallas and Tanner Willems, and fur babies Coco and Marley.

The family would like to send a special thank you to his church family and Pastor Jeremy Gundling who has been a solid source of faith and strength throughout Mike's illness and continues to be a great comfort to his family in this time of grief.
A visitation and memorial service will be held Tuesday January 25, 2022, from 4p-7p at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, TX. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jeremy Gundling.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Mike's name to New Hope Church in Webster TX or an animal rescue of your choice.
