League City, Texas
Lynda Lucille Adams Northcutt passed peacefully from this world in her home in League City, Texas on July 22, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 7, 1943, in Blytheville, Arkansas, she was the only and beloved daughter of Wagner Webb Adams and Pearl Lowery Adams. She grew up in Crossett, Arkansas and graduated from Crossett High School where she met her lifelong best friend of over 70 years, Patricia Bridgforth. She attended the University of Arkansas and Oklahoma State University where she obtained a BA in English and Education and a Minor in Spanish.
Lynda was a passionate gardener and bird watcher. She could name any plant just by looks and her family and friends loved to try and stump her, which was never possible. She also loved the beach and enjoyed many beach vacations with her family. Sanibel Island ranks at the top of that list, where she will eventually be laid to rest. She also adored her first cousins, who were more like siblings, with a favorite family reunion in Michigan being her most precious memory with them.
She is survived by her husband, of 35 years, Ronald P. Northcutt; daughter Karis Gray (John), son Eliot Carter (Beth), daughter Kimberly Heath (Dan), granddaughter Megan Wettenstein (Jared), granddaughter Meredith Darwin (Matthew), granddaughter Jessica Murphy, grandson Landon Grier, granddaughter Miracle Gray, grandson Laurence Carter, grandson Kody Gray, granddaughter Leah Carter, great granddaughters Harper Murphy and Grayce Wettenstein, great grandsons Clark Wettenstein, Levi Grier and Noah Wettenstein. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. Nothing could make her smile more than spending time with each of them.
Lynda has chosen to donate her body to UT School of Medicine for study. A donation in her memory can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
