Margarette L. Farley Obituary (1926 - 2014)

Margarette Louise Perdue Farley, formerly of Smackover, Arkansas, passed away April 26, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She was a retired LPN formerly employed by Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born December 7, 1926 in Miller County, Arkansas to parents Arthur Jennings Perdue and Helen Claire Barnes Perdue. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Arnold J. Perdue and Charles R. Perdue, sister Martha E. Joyner, infant daughter Linda Darlene Farley and son Charles Earl Farley. Survived by her children and their spouses: Margarette Helen and William Alcorn of Houston, Texas, Marvin and Wanda Farley of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Allen Farley and Janice Demory, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Richard Layne and Robin Farley of El Dorado, Arkansas, grandchildren: William Jr., Ned, Julie, Shelley, Carl, Wendy, Richard Earl, David, Tony, Andy, Era, Ashley and Craig, Margarette's survivors also include fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Just as Margarette was a caretaker as a professional she continued these duties to friends and family all of her life. She spent her retirement years gardening, reading, crocheting, tatting and traveling with family members. Her zest for life, learning and sharing was unmatched in her 87 years of life.
