Marinel Ano'Fienem Obituary (1967

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marinel Lisa "Charisse" Anofienem, who departed this life on May 14, 2026 in Harris County, Houston, Texas at the age of 58. Charisse was born on June 16, 1967 in Rapides Parish, Alexandria, Louisiana. Throughout her life, she was known for her strength, resilience, love for her family, and the care she showed to those around her. Her presence brought comfort and encouragement to many, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She married Uzoka Anofienem in January, 1988. As a resident of Houston, Texas, she graduated from Northshore High school with honors. She was employed for seven years as a food service assistant for Alief Elsik High School. She graduated from nursing school with honors and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), including working at The Manor Nursing Home. Charisse is mourned and lovingly survived by her three children, Stephon Akiem Williams, Didi Sharnay Anofienem, and Chuba Sheldon Anofienem; her mother, Lynda Fae Perry; her sisters, Trinita Clark Bennett and Angela Nicole Williams; her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Jack Melvin Clark Jr. The family asks that Charisse be remembered for her laugh, her smile, her love for her family and those she held dear. Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
