Melvin David Glover, Jr. Obituary (1934 - 2011)

Melvin David Glover Jr., "M.D.", was born on February 24, 1936 and passed away on June 30, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Estelle Jacquet Glover; his children, Melvin D. Glover III (Shelia), Allen W. Glover (Brenda), Octavia Glover Nelson (Fred); his grandchildren, Vernon Glover, Sheena Glover, Marcus Glover (Ashley), Malcolm Glover, Rachael Glover, Isaiah James, Eric Nelson and De'Naysia Shannon and his six great grandchildren. Melvin served as a member of Knights of Columbus and Knights of St. Peter Clavier. Melvin was also a retired Master Plumber. He also was a graduate of the Central High School class of 1954 in Galveston, TX. He enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife, family and friends. Most of all he loved sharing his kind heart and jovial spirit. A Public Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 7, 2001 beginning at 8:30 AM followed by the Rosary at 9:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM. All services will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 1224 Cedar La Marque, TX 77568. Father Chacko will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Grace Memorial Cemetery Hitchcock, TX. The family will receive guest at Queen of Peace Fellowship hall following the burial ceremony.
