Norris Blake Gaines Sr. of Texas City, Texas departed this life August 25, 2017 at the age of 60. Norris was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to the union of Luther Lee and Eula Marie Gaines. Until moving to Texas City, Texas late in life. Becoming employed as maintenance over mesquite wood and enchanted oak of Hitchcock. Then transitioning to construction, working for Brock, Miken, Excel, CB&I, Branch & Branol; at BP/Marathon and Valero of Texas City. Norris is preceded in death by his parents, (brother) Luther Carnell Gaines and his youngest son Norris Blake Gaines Jr. Norris is survived by his two brothers, Tony D Gaines (Debra), Peter W Gaines, two sisters, Minnie D. Gaines, Cherry R. Smith. He also leaves behind two sons, Don Wilson, Kivarris Rector. He leaves to his cherished memories his step daughter, Chloe' Curry; two daughters Nyla and Norriya Gaines; three grand-daughters and a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends. There will be a public visitation held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 3pm with a chapel service beginning at 5pm.
