Dulie Grace Sandino Obituary (1945 - 2021)

Obdulia "Dulie" Grace Sandino was born at Danforth Hospital in Texas City, Texas on September 30, 1945. She graduated High School in 1963 from Texas City High School and attended college locally. She worked for many years at Tenneco Oil and Gas as a key punch operator. There she met her best friend, Bernadette Weatherford. They remained friends for over 50 years. Dulie later worked in retail sales at JC Penney. She was of Baptist faith and attended Northside Baptist Church. Dulie enjoyed cooking, traveling, and most of all spending time with family. Dulie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Grace Sandino; father, Alfonso Sandino, and nephew, James Bremermann as well as many aunts and uncles. Dulie is survived by her son, Joel Sandino and fiance Ruth Ann Sorrell; grandson, James Michael Sandino; great-grandsons, Jace and Luca; brother, Richard "Rick" Sandino; sister, Jalayne Henderson and husband Dan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Guests are invited to share in a Celebration of Life Visitation from 10-11:00 a.m., followed by 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, TX 77591.
