South Houston, Texas
With loving reflection, we celebrate the well-lived life of Patricia Ann Lee, born on July 5, 1942, in Galveston, Texas. Known affectionately as Pickalee or Frika, Patricia was a beacon of warmth and comfort to all who knew her. As a compassionate, resilient, talented, and loving woman, she left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched.
Patricia dedicated many years of her life working for the state where her exceptional performance earned her recognition. However, her proudest accomplishment was not found in her work, but in her children, Omar and Robin Higgs. Patricia's heart always held a special place for her children, whom she nurtured with unwavering love and devotion. Patricia’s resilience and strength were evident not only in her professional life but also in her personal life as she navigated the complexities of motherhood with grace and patience.
A woman of many talents, Patricia had a passion for playing the piano, reading, and travelling across the United States. Her love for Christian scriptures provided her with strength and comfort, reminding us of the words in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, "So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison."
Patricia's memory will be cherished by her children, Omar and Robin Higgs, and her oldest friend, Doris Faye. She now joins her parents, Laurence and Alene Lee, in the eternal embrace of peace.
Patricia’s celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Bay Area Funeral Directors, Texas City, Texas. Following the service, Patricia was laid to rest at Rising Star Cemetery in La Marque.
We invite you to share your fondest memories and photos of Patricia on her memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comfort to all who loved and admired Patricia. They will help to weave a beautiful tapestry of a life filled with love, resilience, and a spirit that continues to inspire us all.
