September 4, 1978, marked the date of birth for Phillip Kirk Douglas in August Town, St. Andrew, Jamaica. His parents, Neville Douglas, and Veronica Douglas welcomed the new addition to their family. He was surrounded with a circle of great love. He was nurtured by his loving grandmother, Sylvania Meadows. He was lovingly called "Romarko" by his family and friends.
Phillip was taught the love of Christ while still youthful and he remained a Christian until the Lord called him home. He attended his family's church St. Thomas Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jamaica. He received his primary and secondary education through the St. Thomas- Jamacia School System. He completed his high school education at Yallahs High School where he graduated. The importance of family was instilled in him at a young age and this principle stayed with him throughout his life.
At an early age Phillip showed signs of being a protector and it would only be befitting to have a professional career in law enforcement. He utilized his strong work ethic and effective service with Vanguard Security Company and Guardsman Security Company. He became a Private Bodyguard, Bounty Hunter and Bailbondsman advancing his career. In 2018 he would embark upon his final professional career assignment at the University of Texas Branch Police Department. He valiantly served as a Public Safety Officer giving diligent service until his death.
Romarko fell in love with a beautiful woman, Keva Clarke; they were inseparable for over 17 years. As husband and wife, they become the perfect dream team. In 2014 he migrated to the United States to join his wife. They had goals and dreams and they worked hard to achieve those goals and dreams. Being a tall man of stature (over 6ft) fit him well, he was a man of integrity, tenacity, and principles, His heart was large and full of compassion for his fellowman. Romarko loved spending valuable time with family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. In his spare time, he enjoyed being a Track Coach, exercising, producing music and fishing. His pleasant persona endeared him to many. Therefore, he will be missed tremendously by his family, friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. Surely our lives have been made richer because God allowed him to pass our way.
Phillip Kirk Douglas transitioned from his earthly home to his eternal home with the Lord on September 9, 2021. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Sylvania Meadows, and other loved ones.
