Prentiss Joyce Spry Spriggins Obituary (1963 - 2015)

Prentiss Joyce Spry Spriggins was born August 5, 1963, to the union of late Wilson Spry and Ethel Margaret Spry in Texas City, Texas. Prentiss attended La Porte High School and was married right out of high school to Charles Love, Sr.. To this union two children were born - Arthrayia and Charles Love, Jr. She later was remarried and gave birth to a healthy baby boy Easy Lowe. On November 21, 1992 she married the love of her life Earnest Dale Spriggins and together they nurtured five beautiful children Dylan, Passion, Lyric, Bralan and Keimestre. Prentiss accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was baptized at Church of Christ in Dickinson, Texas. She was a School Bus Driver for Dickinson ISD, La Marque ISD and Durham Bus Services. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother (Nana), a caring sister, a genuine friend and a child of God. Prentiss was preceded in death by her parents - Wilson Spry and Ethel Margaret Spry; her siblings - Wilson Spry, Jr., Ellis Spry, Floyd Spry, Jerry Spry, and Ladrece Spry. She leaves behind her husband of 22 years - Earnest Dale Spriggins; her children - Arthrayia Love Tompkins (husband Charles), Charles Love, Jr., Easy Lowe, Dylan Spriggins, Passion Spriggins, Lyric Spriggins, Bralan Spriggins, Keimestre Spriggins; stepchildren - Krystle Spriggins (husband Travis), Julita Bell, Jolisa Spriggins; grandchildren Charley Love Tompkins, Kyla Prentiss Spriggins, Brieanna Scott, Reginal Jenkins III, a host of nieces, nephews, sisters & brothers-in-law, and friends. Prentiss siblings- Earnest Spry, Rebecca Spry, Margaret Spry and Jolly Spry of Dickinson, Texas, James Spry, Bill Wayne Spry, Donald Ray Spry, Velma Spry Swan, Rose M. Spry W Ball, Elouise Spry McVey, Norma Spry Meitzenheimer, Genal Spry Dixon, Patsy O. Spry Cammon, of Los Angeles California. Visitation will be held on Saturday 18th at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Dickinson, TX from 8am to 11am. A Celebration of Life Service will follow begining at 11am.
