REVERAND REGINALD MAYES, OFFICIATING

Gwynne Thompson

Gwynne was a very beautiful and classy lady; most even referred to her as a Queen. Born August 18, 1965, in Calvert, Tx. to Pompey and Willie Ruth Thompson. She grew up running around and playing in Plainview, Tx, where she attended Plainview High School.
Gwynne wore many different hats during her life, daughter, sister mother and friend. She was always the center of attention and so very talented. Beauty before comfort and she set the bar high. Later as an adult, Gwynne relocated to Houston and began her career at Tailored Brands (Mens Warehouse) where she thrived for thirty plus years. Her leadership, service and commitment to excellence earned her many accolades which is why her friends and family affectionately referred to as “BOSS LADY!”
Gwynne was compassionate and courageous; she filled many people with the incredible joy she felt for life. Gwynne was a beautiful Queen and a fighter and done so until the very end. Gwynne work on Earth is done but her spirit continues to live on.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father Ruth and Pompey Thompson, her brother Dwaine Thompson and sister Renae Thompson.
She was survived by her daughter Rhiah Francis, Grandchildren Rhylan Harmon, Rheese Harmon, Rhemi Brooks, Rhonzell Brooks, her brothers Luthez and Pompey Thompson, sister Cozette Sweet and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
