Refugia Sauceda Garza Obituary (1917 - 2018)

Refugia Garza was born November 2, 1917 and entered Heaven's Gates on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 100 years. Refugia (also known as Cuca by her loved ones) was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Cuca was a wonderful cook and we loved her homemade tortillas, beans and tamales. She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Peters Church. Jesus and Family was most important to her. She is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Ramon Garza. She is survived by her 9 children: Linda Lahrmann, Gilbert Garza, Raymond Garza, Johnny Garza, Gilda Leal, Dalia Maradeo, Alex Garza, Anna Garza and Sylvia Garza along with their spouses and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Serving as active pallbearers are her grandsons: Gilbert Garza Jr., Mark Garza, Ray Garza, Robert Garza, Raymond Maradeo, Alex Garza and Andrew Garza. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Garza Jr. and Rickey H. Moreland Jr.
