Ricardo "Rick" Garcia Anzaldua, also lovingly known as "Cowboy," was called home to be with our Lord & Savior on September 2nd, 2023. He passed peacefully in his sleep in Rosenberg, Texas at the age of 61. Rick was born in Tulia, Texas. He was born again when he gave his life to Christ and was baptized on August 12th, 2018, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland Texas. A man of many talents, Rick could sing, pick guitar, build or fix anything, he could glide across a dance floor, and BBQ like no other. Above all else, he knew how to love hard and love well. Rick loved people and his family was everything. He was the first to stop to help a stranger, and then turn that stranger into a friend. He took every opportunity to serve at church and he never stopped trying to win souls for the Kingdom. He had a beautiful testimony, and his life is a perfect picture of the life-changing grace of God. Rick was preceded in death by his father Mateo Longoria Anzaldua Sr., mother Patsy Garcia Anzaldua, brother Felix Anzaldua and sisters Lillie G. Anzaldua (Baby Lillie), Mary Lou Escobedo and Guadalupe Anzaldua Camp. Rick is survived by his best friend and love of his life Ginger Swolley, son Trollis Anzaldua and daughters Christine Anzaldua, Krista Dabel, her husband Tyler, and, grandsons Grayson, Levi, and Declan (grand furbabies Zeus and Liberty), his brother Mateo Anzaldua Jr. and wife Lucy, sisters Mary Jane Anzaldua and husband Butch, Isabel A DeLeon and husband Raymond and Alice Herrera. The family will hold a small service at Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland, TX with a Celebration of Life to follow on Saturday, September 30th, 2023 at 11:30am at 1315 S. 27th St. Nederland Texas 77627. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to missions at Fellowship Baptist Church (https://fellowshiptx.churchcenter.com/giving) to further spread the gospel or to your local pet rescue.
