Sergeant Richard "Dick" Henry Spinn, beloved father and friend, passed away\npeacefully on August 17 th , 2023 in Texas City, Texas.\n\nDick was born on November 20, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Albert and\nBeatrice Fischer Spinn. After graduating high school, Dick entered the United\nStates Air Force, where he served in both San Antonio and Hawaii. After leaving\nthe United States Air Force, Dick settled down in Santa Fe, Texas and began a\nsecond career as an operator with Amoco. Dick worked for the plants for many\nyears, finally retiring in 2006.\n\nDick was an outdoorsman, avid fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed spending time\nat the deer lease with his sons. Dick also loved hanging out and swapping stories\nwith friends at cookoffs. You could always count on Dick to have a joke ready. He\nwas a friend to all, never met a stranger, and was quick to lend a hand to anyone\nin need.\n\nDick is survived by his brother, Tommy Spinn; his son, Robert and his wife, Paige;\nhis son, Todd Spinn and his wife, Faye; his grandchildren, Brent, Dustin, Whitney,\nTrevor, and Haley; and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by\nhis parents, Albert and Beatrice Spinn; and his daughter, Brandy Michelle Spinn.\n\nFuneral services will be held at the Houston National Cemetery on Friday, October\n27 th at 1:45.
