Richard Juan Ornelas, Jr. Obituary (1957 - 2013)

Richard Juan Ornelas, Jr, born March 14, 1957 in Texas City, Texas to Dominga and Richard Ornelas, passed way in San Marcos, Texas on August 3, 2013. Richard was a free spirit, he never met a stranger, and he left everyone with a smile on their face. His positive outlook in life found the good in every one. He was a wonderful, son, father, and Grandpa. Richard would give his time generously to his family, and he enjoyed learning and exploring his spiritual culture to share with others. Richard's father Richard A. Ornelas, Sr. proceeded him in death. Surviving to cherish is memories are his mother, Dominga Ornelas, his son Richard J. Ornelas, III, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Ornelas, his grandchildren, Alexandria D. Ornelas and Richard R. Ornelas IV, sister, Rosa Garza, brothers; Ruben N. Ornelas and Rego B. Ornelas, Sr., ex-wife and longtime friend Lisa Ornelas as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive guests for visitation from 1PM until 9PM Friday, August 9, 2013, at Bay Area Funeral Parlor, 5410 FM 1765, Texas City, TX. A vigil service will begin at 7PM in the Bay Area Funeral Parlor Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, Saturday, August 10, 2013.
