Ricky Gene Oshel Obituary (1955 - 2016)

Ricky Gene 'Rick' Oshel was born on August 10, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois and died July 20, 2016 in Texas City, Texas. He was born to the union of Dwight 'Tex' Oshel and Jean Suzanne Oshel. Rick was a proud member of The United States Marine Corps, he was also an iron worker by trade. He loved to fish and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys, he also liked riding his motorcycle and spending time with his cats and dogs. Rick had a good sense of humor and a big heart. He enjoyed being with family and friends. Rick is preceded in death by parents, brother, Dwight Tex Oshel Jr. and nephew, Brian Oshel. He is survived by wife, Glenda Jean Spielman; son, Clint Oshel and wife Tanya; grandson, Colton Oshel; granddaughter, Jordan Oshel, brothers, Larry Oshel and wife Bambi, and Dana Oshel; sister, Susan Butler; nephew, Brandon Bischof; grandchildren, Ligaya Lucinario, Joey Boy Lucinario and Jacob Jean Lucinario; step-daughter, Angelina Lucinario and husband, Joey. The family would also like to acknowledge life-long friend and mother of Clint Oshel, Judy Helpenstill. Services will be private at family's request.
