Robert Sullivan, 64, of La Marque, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Seabreeze Nursing and Rehab in Texas City. Texas.

Robert was born on March 9, 1959, in Pineville, Louisiana to parents, Buger and Lois Sullivan. Robert worked for and retired from Gene Hammon Auto after twenty-eight years as an auto mechanic.
Robert enjoyed working on cars. When he took time off from being an auto mechanic, he enjoyed playing dominos and fishing. Robert and his twin brother, Rodney, would go to the Texas City Dike and fish for hours regardless of whether they caught anything. It was their peaceful time.

After Rodney's passing on March 18, 2005, Robert's health declined. In 2009, after a sharp health decline, Robert became a resident at Seabreeze Nursing Home in Texas City.
Robert was very close to Eloise Sullivan. She would make sure Robert was well taken care of even if she had to do it herself. Eloise also shared that having a close relationship with God was essential. Robert took to that and gave his life to Christ. He enjoyed when church services were offered at Seasbreeze. He eagerly attended and when he was unable to, Eloise kept him abreast of having a close walk with God.

And from him, Eloise learned how to be more patient and, by watching Robert, learned how to be more content. They were a blessing to one another and for the next fourteen years, when Robert was in the nursing home, you can count on knowing that Robert and Eloise were sharing that journey together. Robert will be deeply missed by his long-time and loyal sister-in-law and friend, Eloise Sullivan.

Eloise would like to take time to thank her husband, Michael, for allowing her to love Robert as she did. Eloise would like to thank the family for placing and trusting his care into her hands.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Buger and Lois Neco-Sullivan; brothers, John L. Sullivan, and Earl (Joe) Sullivan and his identical twin brother, Rodney Sullivan, who passed away on March 18, 2005; sisters, Mary Jane Crezo, Agnes (Sara) Sullivan, and Carol Crawford.

Robert is survived by sisters and brother-in-law's, Shelia and Eddie Shaw of Bonaire, Georgia, Phyllis S. and Albert Buck of Houston, Texas and Bernadette Sullivan of La Marque, Texas; brother and sister-in-law's, Michael and Eloise Sullivan of Texas City, Texas and sister-in-law, Alma Sullivan of Cottage City, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
