Robin Lynne Jones-Chipman, 64, of Texas City, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Robin was born on January 20, 1962. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Haggard; her father, Jimmy Jones; and her beloved niece, Stacy Hutto Rickman.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Russell G. Chipman Sr.; her sons, Nik Chipman and Russell Chipman Jr.; her daughters-in-law, Natalie Chipman and Emily Chipman; her sister, Shirlene Hutto; her mother-in-law, Jean Chipman; her best friend of 50 years, Sharon Roepcke; her cherished grandchildren—Topanga Chipman, daughter of Nik and Natalie, and Witten Chipman and Emmett Chipman, sons of Russell Jr. and Emily—who lovingly knew her as “Mimi”; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Robin’s world revolved around her children and grandchildren. They were truly her life, and she would bend over backwards for them without hesitation. Being a mom, and especially being Mimi, brought her the greatest joy, and her love for them was fierce, constant, and unconditional.
Robin had an undeniable love for sports and was a proud, lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Texas Longhorns, and NASCAR, especially Chase Elliott. She often joked that Troy Aikman was her man, and she said it with such confidence that no one ever dared argue.
She would give anyone the shirt off her back and was one of the kindest, most caring, and selfless people you could ever meet. Robin was deeply loved by so many, and her warmth, generosity, and humor left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
Though she is no longer with us, her love did not end—it lives on in her family, in the lessons she taught, the laughter she shared, and the countless lives she touched. She will be truly and forever missed.
