Romana S. Garcia Obituary (1932

Romana S. Garcia, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 13, 2022. Reuniting with the love of her life John Garcia. They shared many years of marriage living their life in the Galveston County area. Born in Alice, Texas, on April 14, 1932 she was the daughter of Juan and Josefa Salinas. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Taco House, Globe and then retiring from Kmart. She loved helping others, volunteering, Bowling, Cornhole, Bingo, Lottery scratch offs and watching her Houston Astros and Houston Rockets Romana enjoyed a full life and rewarding life raising her three daughters. She is survived by Rosie Rabb (Lewis), Janie Garza (Fernando) and Josie Ramos (Santos). She loved and enjoyed her 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren who knew her as Grandma Princess, along with numerous extended family and friends. She was predeceased in death by her parents, husband and sister Rachel Salinas, Rebecca Cornwell and brother Paul Salinas. The funeral Visitation/Chapel service 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM will be held on Thursday, Nov 17, 2022 at Carnes Funeral Home 3100 Gulf Freeway Texas City, TX. 77591 Burial service will be held on Friday Nov 18, 2022 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2506 65th Street Galveston, TX 77551
