Sharon Maclaine

–

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Sharon Elaine MacLaine, of Oklahoma City, passed away in Galveston, Texas on October 2, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Sharry was born on July 27, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio to Paul Eugene Johnson and Lois Elaine (Marcum) Johnson. She spent her life working in the medical insurance field at Blue Cross Blue Shield, starting off in customer service and working her way up to Project Manager. She stepped into a well-deserved retirement in 2020 to fully focus on her family and friends.

Sharry was known for living her life to the fullest. She had a love for traveling, going on cruises with her best friends, dancing, and playing cards with her friends and family. She loved horseback riding and shared her love for horses with her father. But her one true love was her daughter, Kelli, and her two grandsons, Brett and Connor. She loved spending time with them in the kitchen teaching them to cook and also teaching them to dance. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, decorating the tree, baking Scottish Christmas cookies, and watching the classic Christmas shows with her daughter and grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelli Elaine Riddle; her grandsons, Brett Allen Riddle and Connor Ray Riddle, of Oklahoma City; her brother, Keith Michael Johnson; her niece, Megan Elaine Johnson; her nephew, Kyle William Johnson; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, of Columbus, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Eugene Johnson and Lois Elaine (Marcum) Johnson.

Sharry's Celebration of Life will be held on November 20, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Junior's in Oklahoma City. Sharry will also have a Celebration of Life for her friends and family in Columbus, Ohio to be announced at a later time.

Sharry will be remembered for her love of life, her joyful spirit, and, most of all, the deep and lasting love she had for her family and friends. Her memory will live on through the traditions she shared, the laughter she inspired, and the countless precious moments she created with those she loved.
