Theresa Ann Marie Stephens-Malbrough, a beloved wife, mother, and friend to many, passed peacefully at home in her sleep on October 31, 2026. Born on November 8, 1965, in Alvin, Texas, Theresa's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering support for those around her.

Theresa was the cherished daughter of June Carman and is now reunited with many loved ones who anxiously awaited her arrival in heaven. Those who had the privilege of knowing Theresa will remember her as "Momma" or "Aunt T," a testament to her nurturing spirit and the warmth she exuded. She leaves behind her devoted spouse, John McDonald, her beloved children, Nicole and her husband Aaron Brownlee, and John Curtis McDonald. Her legacy of love and compassion will be carried on by countless friends and family members who will miss her tremendously.

Theresa's life was rich with passions and interests that brought joy to herself and others. Music was a constant companion, with the tunes of Elvis Presley and ABBA often filling her home. A lover of Stephen King's works, she found delight in both his books and movies, and she was never far from her computer with the radio playing nearby. Holidays were especially dear to her, as they brought together family and friends, times she cherished deeply. Her love for fantasy was evident in her admiration for unicorns and cherished movies that whisked her away to magical worlds.

Among her many qualities, Theresa was known for her unwavering support and love. She was always there to lend an ear or offer a shoulder to lean on, reminding everyone she encountered that they were loved and valued. Her capacity for empathy and understanding made her a beacon of hope and comfort to those who needed it most.

A service to celebrate Theresa's beautiful life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026 in the Chapel of Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway, Texas City, TX 77591 at 2:00 PM. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who loved Theresa as they did and who come together to honor her memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made in Theresa's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing her legacy of kindness and support to those in need.
