Tiffany Shenoda
Our sister in Christ
Tiffany was 68 years of age when she was called by our Lord. She passed away in her bed on November 3rd. She was born in Santa Clara, Cuba and was the oldest daughter of Maria Lopez and the late Jose Marino. She carries on the in hearts of her son David Shenoda and her grandchildren Kendall and Lucas. The second of six children, Tiffany was preceded in death by sister Lourdes Gomez and will forever be in the memories of her siblings Joe, Lili, Heidi and Javier as well as stepfather, Tony Lopez. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews: Alexis, Carolyn, Marc, Savannah, Brianna, Austin, and Amanda. Tiffany loved her church family, her spiritual brothers and sisters, they will miss her physical presence, but they will be comforted knowing she is resting in peace with the Lord.
Tiffany left Cuba in 1961 at the age of 7 and became a US citizen at age 19. She spent her youth in Denver before moving to New Jersey to live with her dad. Tiffany married her late husband Albert Shenoda and had her only son, David, in New Jersey before she came to Texas in 1991. She graduated with a Linguistic degree from the University of Houston. She held a variety of jobs throughout the years: gemologist, notary, marketing representative, teaching/tutoring, and hospice caregiver to name a few. She was artistic, an avid reader, a patriot, a gardener, a photographer, but most of all a Christian. She enjoyed being a Christian and being involved in her church. She enjoyed going on mission trips, church discoveries with other Christians, bible study classes, teaching Sunday school, and volunteering every chance she got.
Her journey with Jesus Christ began in New Jersey where she became a born-again Christian at Grace Chapel. After accepting Christ as her personal savior, she was so excited, she got busy spreading the word of God's amazing plan for us. After moving to Texas her relationship with Christ deepened as her knowledge of God's word grew. She once told me with a twinkle in her eye that "in New Jersey there is a restaurant on every street but here in Texas there is church on every street". In Texas she attended Igelesia Christiana Evengelica. She then became a member of Sagemont where she taught Sunday school classes. After 15 years at Sagemont, she joined her last church, Providence Baptist Church in Pasadena. She was a member for 3 years when the Lord called her home.
Tiffany best friend was Jesus. She fought every day for the salvation of others and bringing the message of Jesus Christ to non-believers. One of her last quests was to open her apartment doors to those around her and help them know God's love for them. She was a true believer and a servant of the Lord.
