Vance Wade Lemley Obituary (1975 - 2023)

Vance Wade Lemley, 47 of Houston, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Vance was preceded in death by his mother, Judi Lemley and is survived by his father, Walter Lemley and his siblings, Guy Lemley and Tiffany Lemley, nieces: Makenna and Brooke. Nephews: Travis, Parker, Andrew and Peyton and a host of other family and friends. Vance was born in Pasadena, TX. On September 3, 1975. He grew up in Deer Park, TX. where he was active in the youth fellowship at Central Baptist Church. He graduated from Deer Park High School in 1994. After graduation he moved to Huntsville, TX. to work towards a degree in musical theater at Sam Houston State University. His goal was to become an entertainer. He achieved most of these ambitions by acting, singing, and dancing aboard the cruise liners, Holland American and Royal Caribbean. He also performed in numerous theaters across the United States, including Houston, Galveston, Baytown, Baltimore, Virginia, and New Jersey. Some of his favorite roles include, Grease (Danny), Forever Plaid (Smudge), The Fantasticks (Matt), The Scarlet Letter (Rev. Dimsdale), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd), Mystery of Edward Drood (Jasper), The Crucible (Governor Danforth). Other shows he performed in: Once Upon a Mattress, Rocking the Boat, Oklahoma and in the Warner Bros. 75th Anniversary show. Vance's legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone he has interacted with.
