Zachary Wyatt Welch

Zachary Wyatt Welch was born December 8, 1988 in Galveston, TX at St. Mary’s Hospital. He passed away on January 20, 2024 at the age of 35.

Zachary is survived by his loving children, Gavin Demers, Gunnar Richmond, and Giovanna Welch, parents Pamela Parr and Gregory Welch, and sisters Laura Welch and Robin Welch. He was predeceased by his brother, Brian Welch, and Grandparents O.C. & Glenda Parr, and Morris & Louise Welch.

Zachary took immense pride in being a dad to his three beautiful children, and his love for them was his greatest joy. The connection he shared with his kids was the heart of his happiness, and those precious memories they created together will be cherished forever.

Known for his entrepreneurial spirit, Zachary honed his skills under the mentorship of his close friend Ap before starting his own successful fencing business, South Texas Fence, working alongside his oldest son, Gavin. Zachary fostered a deep respect for first responders and often demonstrated this appreciation by treating local departments to lunch deliveries and offering special discounts.

A memorial service will be held on January 30, 2024 at Carne’s Funeral Home. Family viewing will be at 12:30pm and visitation at 1pm. Service starts at 2pm with burial following.
